Shelley is the proud founder of DWAZ Creations & Events<\/strong>, a business built on heart, purpose, and above all\u2014passion<\/strong>. A loving mother of two, Shelley has always been guided by her deep care for others and a desire to make a meaningful difference through creativity.<\/p>

With over 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Shelley officially \u201cretired\u201d in 2022\u2014but in truth, it was just the beginning of a new chapter. That same year, DWAZ<\/strong> was born: a business that reflects her love for crafting, her drive to empower, and her commitment to creating memorable, beautiful moments.<\/p>

Starting with sewing\u2014crafting everything from pregnancy pillows and baby clothes to soft, luxurious blankets\u2014Shelley poured her creativity into every stitch. Her journey soon expanded into baking and event planning, coordinating everything from children\u2019s parties to large-scale conferences for major clients like the ANC<\/strong>, EFF<\/strong>, and Motorola Solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>

Yet, her proudest work happens behind the scenes\u2014uplifting women<\/strong>. Every week, Shelley welcomes four women from previously disadvantaged backgrounds into her sewing space, offering them lessons, access to machines, and the chance to earn an income. Through this, she\u2019s not just teaching a skill\u2014she\u2019s building confidence and opening doors to independence.<\/p>

Shelley\u2019s heart for charity also shines through in her annual donation of over 100 handmade blankets to senior homes like Mooihaven<\/strong> and Pointsettia Park<\/strong>, ensuring that those often forgotten feel remembered and cared for.<\/p>

More than a businesswoman, Shelley is a nurturer, a creator, and a mentor. With DWAZ Creations & Events, she\u2019s building more than events\u2014she\u2019s building a legacy of passion, empowerment, and community<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
